Who can protect the Lower East Side of New York City from evil? A thirteen-year-old girl and the T-Rex she accidently transported into the present-day, of course! Disney has turned the Marvel comic run Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur into an animated series, and if the newly released trailer is any indication, it looks like fun, sweet show.

The series centers around Lunella Lafayette (voiced by Diamond White), a super-genius who not only brings a dinosaur into our contemporary lives, but also suits up as her superhero alter ego Moon Girl to protect her neighborhood from evildoers. She’s supported by her best friend Casey (voiced by Libe Barer) as well as her lovely but in-the-dark family. The show also features Lawrence Fishburne as playing The Beyonder, a cosmic trickster who doesn’t really get humans (and who is, I’m guessing, the bad guy Moon Girl and her dino buddy must fight).

Here’s the show’s official synopsis:

Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, based on Marvel’s hit comic books, follows the adventures of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur. After Lunella accidentally brings Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City, the duo works together to protect the city’s Lower East Side from danger.

Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur premieres Friday, February 10, on the Disney Channel, with the first six episodes streaming Wednesday, February 15, on Disney+.
